Dr N.J. Allen (MB BS DRCOG MRCGP)

Doctor Nick Allen trained in London. He joined the practice in 1978 and has seen the practice develop from two single-handed units to an efficient team working from central premises.

His medical interests are sports injuries and medical students, while his leisure time is spent rebuilding classic cars, and engaged in sports such as triathlons and wind surfing.

 
Dr A.M. Stanley (MB ChB)
 

Doctor Adrian Stanley trained in Leeds, and joined the Practice in 1984 replacing Dr Rushton who had practiced since 1935. His medical interests are in paediatric surveillance and medical computing.

Dr Stanley has a special interest in Medical Computing and is the lead GP for IT within Leeds.

 
 
Dr S.E. Stanley (MB ChB MRCGP)

Doctor Sally Stanley trained in St. Andrews in Manchester, and joined the Surgery in 1989. She works part time and has a special interest in obstetrics.

She is married to Doctor Adrian Stanley.

 
 
Dr E.M. Hide (MB ChB MRCGP DRCOG DCh)
 

Doctor Emily Hide trained in Manchester, and joined the Surgery in 1999.

Her clinical interests are wide ranging and include Palliative Care.

 
 
Dr C. Shaw (B.Med.Sci(Hons), BM, BS, DFFP, MRCGP)

Doctor Claire Shaw trained in Nottingham, and joined the Practice in 2004 under the GP Retainer Scheme and works part time, having previously worked as a full time partner in another Leeds practice.

 
 
Dr F. Slater
 

Dr Slater graduated from Newcastle upon Tyne medical school in 2001, and worked in hospitals on Tyneside and in Leeds, before moving to general practice in the Skipton and Keighley areas. Dr Slater joined Charles Street Surgery in 2006, and medical interests include dermatology and minor surgery.

 
 
Medical Students
 

Medical Students, and occasionally student nurses, are trained on the premises and may be present during a consultation. You will be advised if this is the case when booking in.
You may request the student to be absent by advising the receptionist.
